Open Dojo is a Spanish-language tool to run a martial arts school from your phone: attendance, monthly fee collection with WhatsApp reminders, belt ranks, tournaments and exams, and a public web page for the school. It is made by Human-Zentric, a Mexican company, and is free to start.
It is built for owners and instructors of karate, taekwondo, judo, jiu-jitsu, kung fu, kickboxing, boxing or MMA schools who still run the school on a notebook, a spreadsheet or one-by-one WhatsApp messages. No technical skills are needed.
Each school gets its own web page (for example, yourschool.open-dojo.com) where students enroll on their own, and is listed in the public school directory at open-dojo.com. There is also an app for Android and iPhone for owners, instructors, students and parents.
- Attendance by class schedule and student check-in on arrival.
- Monthly fees, class packages and pay-per-class, with automatic WhatsApp reminders.
- A profile for every student with rank, payments, attendance and family.
- Tournaments, belt exams and seminars with self-enrollment from the phone.
- Several locations and instructors in a single school.
